Hi, I was approved for the procedure and the consulting doctor (not my surgeon but I have seen his work) said the average amount for me is 3-5mm removal. Should I make sure not to get 3mm? I worry it won't be enough. 5mm seems very common and 4mm might be ok. I had a septo-rhinoplasty a five years ago and my lip did drop slightly. I had a little filler but not since June 2021. My Philtrum is 1.6mm. I have 3mm of tooth show of my front teeth. No downturn smile at rest.

Thank you for the question. You do not have any of the features of aging. On the contrary, your upper lip is youthful and aesthetic, and a lip lift would ruin this. I hope this helps. I wish you the best of luck. Vasileios Vasilakis, MD. Double board-certified, fellowship-trained plastic...
You appear to be an excellent candidate for a lip lip. It will diminish the length of the philtral columns and provide a more full and pink lip. The distance between the base of the nose and pink of the lip should be 11-13 mm.
