Question

My natural size is a D cup, I am lacking volume in my upper pole and was considering a 270cc implant, is this sufficient or is this too small? I am trying to achieve a natural result with a slight increase?

Hi, thank you for sharing your question. Given your natural volume of breast tissue, I believe that you will achieve an excellent result in that range of implant size.

Your breasts are deflated and have an element of sagging. 270 cc implants will address the deflation, but not the sag. I you want upper pole fullness, you will likely need a lift. I don't recommend a larger implant, as this will contribute to the sagging and incompletely correct the upper pole lack of projection.

Dear Pioneering7555,breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small.You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.

If you are already a size D you do not need implants but need a lift. The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired.

Hello, that will depend on what you really want to achieve, it is an appropriate implant size, in particular I prefer implants of 300 below for a lower weight, this helps to have less loss over time

In my practice the best way to determine the breast implant size is trying different sizers during your consultation. So you can look at them, feel them and then decide what you exactly are looking for. Also another important factor is seeing if your nipple needs to be lifted and require a breast lift too.

You need a lift. Just adding volume will give you larger and still sagging breasts. If you want more upper breast fullness, you need a lift to raise your breasts and place the implants behind the muscle.

I think that would be an excellent volume.  Skin can stretch if you go too large.  You have a good amount of natural breast tissue to cover the implant.  I agree that 270 should give you nice upper pole fullness.

In breast augmentation, implant volume is not as important as important as picking an implant that fits your chest wall (base width) as well as projection (implant height).Based upon your photos you may also consider a small breast lift along with implant placement (mastopexy-augmentation) in order to achieve your desired result.I would recommend you consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss what procedure would best help you reach your desired result.
