As Dr Huo stated below, since the laser does not break through the skin, it is super unlikely to give you any risk of keloids. it is a great laser for melasma and sun damage. you should plan 3 treatments, each spaced one month apart. use a good sunblock. If you have any ethnicity to your skin, then you should pre treat for 2-3 weeks with HQ. The Picosure laser is great because there is little to no downtime.david berman md

Thanks for your question. Disclosure : we have been using the PicoSure FOCUS for 4 years and haven't used the PicoWay. There have been several cases of bad burns/outcomes reported recently on this site from Pico Genesis treatments. We have never seen any burns from PicoSure. Best of luck!
