Texture, discoloration, pores - PicoSure Focus vs. PicoWay? (Photo)

Question

I sought some different opinion on how to address my rough-textured, large pore, ruddy/blotchy skin with brown spots. One provider: ViPeel to get rid of the top layer so the laser would work better (?) and then three PicoWay laser tx. The other doctor: series of four Picosure Focus treatments only. Price is comparable on a each-session basis. I'm a fitzpatrick I. Does one of the above protocols sound like it will give me a better overall outcome? is the PicoWay new and improved?

I only use the Picosure and not the pico way. But you have a very forgiving skin type, and should respond nicely to treatment. Results in this case may be more operator dependent so go with the place that makes you feels best.

Thanks for your question.  Disclosure :  we have been using the PicoSure FOCUS for 4 years and haven't used the PicoWay.  There have been several cases of bad burns/outcomes reported recently on this site from Pico Genesis treatments.  We have never seen any burns from PicoSure. Best of luck!

Thanks for your question.  Disclosure :  we have been using the PicoSure FOCUS for 4 years and haven't used the PicoWay.  There have been several cases of bad burns/outcomes reported recently on this site from Pico Genesis treatments.  We have never seen any burns from PicoSure.That being said, my recommendation is always to go with office that makes you feel the most comfortable. There is no best treatment. So much of your outcome is dependent on how well they maintain the equipment, the settings used and their  technique. Check out their reviews and if their existing patients are happy.  I hope this helps.
