I want to try Emsculpt to build and lift my glutes and define my abs. Does it matter if I use Emsculpt or Emsculpt Neo?

Hello, I am wanting to try Emsculpt on my glutes (to build and lift) and abs (to define). Does it matter which one I use-Emsculpt or Emsculpt Neo? Also how do I go about picking a provider for this? I'm lookin in the Dallas area but can't tell who has experience or if that matters as much due to the machine?

EMSculpt NEO combines HIFEM with radiofrequency which is dual therapy resulting in muscle building, fat reduction, skin tightening, and reduction in abdominal muscle separation. NEO is only used an abdominal wall. EMSculpt Classic can be used on abdominal wall, gluts, arms, calves for muscle building...studies showed that fat reduction also occurs due to the increased metabolic activity of the muscles leading to lipolysis.
The EMSculpt NEO device has both features and can treat all areas with 3 different protocols.

Hi and thanks for your interest in Emsculpt for glutes!
This is a great treatment to build and lift glutes, tone, and define abs. Although both will work, Emsculpt Neo adds radiofrequency energy to warm the muscle and burn fat, resulting in an improved outcome. 
As for picking a provider, I feel that both the provider and machine are important. The provider should understand the proper placement of paddles and should instruct you on how to contract with the machine for maximal results. Talk to your provider about their results and how they maximize treatments to make sure you're comfortable with them.

Thank you for your question. I have had both Emsculpt and Emsculpt Neo performed on my abdomen. I can tell you that there was a much greater response in fat reduction and muscle definition with the Emsculpt Neo. As of this time, there is not an approved protocol for Emsculpt Neo on the glutes. We are treating our patients with Emsculpt classic on this area until it is determined whether the addition of the RF energy enhances the results. The worry is that there may be increased fat destruction in the buttocks.

The Emsculpt NEO uses HIFEM and Radio frequency. The original Emsculpt only uses HIFEM.
The addition of radio frequency causes heating of the tissue and this boosts the muscle building and fat burning. 
Fortunately the success of the procedure is more technologically dependent and not provider dependent. So picking someone with tons of experience is not nearly as important as with liposuction or other techniques.

Emsculpt Ne-Yo ads radio frequency treatment which is being sold as fat reduction and potentially a skin tightening. These are theoretical claims that may occasionally show visible changes in fat reduction. Recognize the the fat reduction is not based on artistic skill but simply the outline of the device being used.

I would not count on this device reducing fat volume. In the end it stimulates the particular muscle and that muscle strengthening is the results.

It’s a temporary treatment with the exception of radio frequency treatment included with Neo that is potentially permanent but like I mentioned I wouldn’t plan on expecting significant results from that part.

I suggest consulting with providers who offer these treatments to get an idea.

I recommend focusing i’m learning the limitations of these treatments more so than what they claim because people selling these tend to over sell and under deliver all too often.

In regards to lifting if you consider having stronger gluteus muscles as a lifting effect then you can expect some lifting with the procedure. If having stronger gluteus muscles does not create lifting for you then don’t expect lifting from this treatment.

To me Emsculpt is a nice idea for people who have money to burn and don’t mind having repeat sessions for muscle strengthening without having to do the exercise.

The best results seem to be in patients who have a good muscle definition to start with.
