Hypopigmented scars are difficult to treat. Ematrix would not be your first-line choice for hypopigmented scars. In our office, we often use fractional co2 laser to help improve texture and color in those scars. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
eMatrix uses sublative technology and does not involve melanin production or destruction. It would not improve or worsen hypopigmented scars.
Very unlikely- hypopigmentation is due to lack of melanin, ie. .pigment in your skin. eMatrix is designed to treat collagen, ie. stimulate collagen by breaking down old scars, and stimulating cells to produce collagen and not melanin. So it is very unlikely that eMatrix will work for hypopigmented scars. Sometimes using a laser to blend in the surrounding skin can reduce the LOOK of hypopigmented scars.CheersDr Davin LimConsultant Laser and Cosmetic Dermatologist

Videos below show the procedure. I would wait 2 weeks to be safe as your skin does take at least 5-7 days to recover from photo facials. eMatrix can be delivered safely at a higher setting thereafter. All the best, Dr Davin Lim.
