How many grafts for full hairline & fill and will l need a second transplant? (Photos)

I'm 43 and wonder how many grafts you think l need full hair line and fill top. Also would l lose the rest of my existing hair after FUE translation. Can you recommend if l should go ahead with this now or do you think l will get more hair loss which will leave me back in the same position.

Hello and thank you for your question. You probably need 2000+ grafts to achieve the look you want. If you should get it now or later depends on how unhappy you are and how good your donor area is. In order to restore the anterior hairline as well as add density to the scalp a reasonable quote would be FUE 2750 grafts.

The FUE Hair transplant will be a solution to restore the hair line and the mid-scalp. The grafts estimation is 2500-2900 grafts to get a full coverage with good density. At this stage the hair transplant is possible. The number of grafts depends upon two factors (1) the area that has to be covered which in your case is determined by where you wish the hairline to be placed and (2) the thickness of your hair shafts (hair bulk). The need for a second hair transplant is frequent when the hair bulk is low (fine hair) and less common as the hair shafts increase in thickness (medium or coarse hair) so it is difficult to give you an exact estimate other than to say that the range of grafts may be 1800-2500 grafts give or take a few
