Will my nose get bigger if I pick/touch my nose?

Question

Can picking my nose 1 knuckle deep with my pointer finger or thumb, make it bigger or stretch out the overall shape and size of my nose? Additionally, can pushing, pinching, pressing, squeezing, massaging, and or bending my nose, permanently impact or change the nasal cartilages or overall shape and size of the nose?

Pulling the nasal tip downward can cause weakening and dislocation of the ligaments that normally extend from the bottom of the bridge to the nasal tip. In that regard, this could lead to a droopier nasal appearance. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

Doing what you are suggesting would not be a good idea. Chronic irritation of your nose could potentially cause future problems
