Hello and thank you for your question. I highly recommend that you seek a surgeon that has a high volume of experience with the Brazilian butt lift procedure. In Miami, we see a significant volume of patients seeking this operation who come from all over the world. We are known for our expertise in performing Brazilian butt lift operations. Therefore, my suggestion is to spend some time online searching for a fully trained plastic surgeon who can demonstrate via pictures and patient reviews that he has experience performing Brazilian butt lifts.Alex Zuriarrain, MD, Plastic Surgeon
Ideal candidates are at a stable weight, in good health , and have excess fat in some parts of the body and too little in other regions. Gaining weight before the procedure is to no advantage and when you lose weight again the fat cells will shrink just like the donor site fat cells. Typically, the transferred fat results in a significant increase in volume of the body site being treated.
Thank you for your question. I have provided a link to ASPS providers in your area. This is a great place to start. Good luck and be safe!
Dear Debbie see, finding the right Dr. is extremely challenging especially with the number of online platforms and resources available. There a lot of great Dr's available. Definitely check to make sure your choice specializes in the procedure you want and spend the time to read through patient testimonials. You can always pick up the phone and call around also, find an office you feel comfortable with and set up a few consultations. Seek a plastic surgeon who performs many of these procedures, has great reviews and photos, and is an expert in this field.
In the States, many patients can start with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons website to find board certified surgeons in their area. You may have a similar website in Canada. Beyond that, seeking a surgeon who regularly performs that surgery and can show you results is the next thing. You also need to find a surgeon that you trust and with whom you are comfortable. Congratulations on considering BBL surgery!
Seromas are common and should be aspirated. If your surgeon was a board certified plastic surgeon who operated on you at a certified outpatient facility and does a ton of lipo, go back and voice your concerns more emphatically, if not...see one who meets the criteria I mentioned.

The use of a cell saver is usually during vascular procedures when a lot of blood loss is expected. This would be very unusual to use in any cosmetic procedure.
