I Just had a bbl a week ago. I had it because I find it very hard to lose belly fat. I go to the gym and want to start bulking so I can gain weight in my thighs and butt. My question is when can I start doing this without effecting my lipo results. I will be eating clean. Also after my bbl i sat have been sitting on my butt since day one. Is there any hope. If not will it go back to what it was before or end up flat? Thank you in advance.

Answer: Gaining weight after BBL? I recommend my patients not to sit for the first two weeks after surgery. Then, a special BBL pillow can be used for short durations. Most patients return to light daily activities a few days after surgery and resume normal activities in about a week. Consult your surgeon since each surgeon has a slightly different protocol.

Answer: Gaining weight after BBL? There is no data that says that sitting after a BBL leads to more fat loss compared to not sitting on the fat. We know that no matter what the patient will lose 30-50% of the fat volume injected over 3-6 months after the surgery. I personally believe that prolonged pressure in the early post op period (first 10 days after surgery) can affect the shape. It makes it more boxy and less round. This is not scientific by any means...just what I have learned since I started doing this procedures. If you start a workout regimen after the surgery that is more intense than before the surgery, you will lose some of the excess fat that was injected into your buttocks/hips.
