i would like to do hydrafacial as prep as i have very thickened sun damaged skin, with lots of congestion and build up. are there any other more gentler yet effective ways to clear the skin before a chemical peel to get the best absorption ?
Answer: HydraFacial and Chemical Peels Together Yes extractions can be done at same time, of course all skin types react differently. As per procedure after a Chemical Peel it is important to stay out of the sun for at least 24 hours and wear sunblock. We always offer a good Microderm or HydroFacial before peel. It exfoliates and hydrates the skin and when you apply peel it goes deeper and responds well. Again consult in person since everyone’s skin type and age can change the treatment plan.

Answer: Hydrafacial and chemical peels together | Ask Dr Daniel Chang Dear brad, Thank you for your question. In general, the stronger the treatment, the more effective it is. In our practice, we do combine hydrafacial with gentler peels and it can be done the same day. Every skin is different, and your skin hydration levels also vary. So the key is managing the sun effects and using the right creams to optimise results based on individual needs.

Answer: HydraFacial & chemical peel Hi, thanks for your question. I recommend a combination approach for thickened, congested, sun damaged skin. Firstly, I would avoid doing a HydraFacial andchemical peel on the same day. This is because the HydraFacial treatment involvesa mild peel prep, so you don't want to overwhelm the skin. A HydraFacial should alsobe finished with the application of serums and a moisturiser. A chemical peelinvolves prepping the skin with an astringent, stripping the facial products off yourskin. A quality chemical peel will be absorbed by the skin regardless, a HydraFacialwon't help with this. Combining both treatments at once won't speed up results. Iwould recommend having the HydraFacial first and a chemical peel 2-4 weeks later. This will treat your congestion and encourage the cell turnover process. To treat sundamage and thickened skin, an Nd:YAG laser and Erbium laser would need to beutilised. The laser treatments can commence 4 weeks post chemical peel. Thanks,Dr Campey
