I am investigating the effectiveness of a chemical peel. I am really tired of these upper lip wrinkles.
Answer: How to treat perioral lines Thanks for the question and photo. Lip lines, known as perioral lines, are a common reason people seek anti-aging treatments. This area can be addressed using a variety of options, including dermal fillers and laser skin resurfacing. I do not routinely use chemical peels for this concern. The lines tend to recur too quickly. Instead, a CO2 laser is a better choice, because it combines resurfacing and heat to tighten the skin and really get the best long-term results. I encourage you to meet with a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist who can assess your aging symptoms in person and create a customized treatment plan that will meet your precise needs best.

Answer: Lip lines can easily be treated with long lasting, natural appearing results with a Chemical Peel In my hands, nothing works better or has longer lasting results than a chemical peel for treating etched in lip lines. Patients are also happy with fillers and laser treatments. Often I will peel the pink of the lip as well. This can give the lip a little more volume.

Answer: Upper lip creases need usually 2 medium TCA peels and a lip implant. Fillers are so temporary that it is so much better to get 2 medium TCA peels and a lip implant to permanently fix those lines. The lip implant gives you back the beautiful lip border again which you once had and also improves the lines while the 2 medium TCA peels erases the lines a lot.

Answer: Treastment of Upper Lip Lines There are 2 treatments of upper lip lines, depending on the condition of your lips and skin. The easiest is use of a filler. The upper lip usually pouts at the vermillion edge, but, with age, loses volume and wrinkles are one of the results. Simply refilling the area of the vermillion edge can, occasionally, correct the wrinkles. If not, they can be filled with some of the filler. Then, use of tretinoin can help eliminate them permanently over time. However, if this is not effective, then a laser to the area if you do not have other wrinkles, or a leveling peel if you do have wrinkles elsewhere is a reasonable solution. However, the latter has a considerable down time. See someone specializing in facial and skin rejuvenation using multiple methods for best results.
