The LD massage I received in Miami was a deep tissue take on lymphatic drainage. When I travelled back to NJ I received a gentle LDM which focused on the actual areas of the lymph nodes (legs, arm pits, sternal area, abdomen&back). In Fl I received massage in the areas of lipo in my back and abdomen. The more deep tissue version seems to try to physically move the fluid underneath the skin where as the gentle version seems to try to activate the lymph nodes which will in turn move the fluid.
