hi, I read that you may need a size smaller after a week or so of lipo. ans sometimes need to chane several times the size of the garment. In LA, Sweat Lodge has lymphatic massage machines. They say it works like getting a massage from a person. Is that true and can it be used instead of seeing a person? Thanks for the answers.
Answer: No proven benefit to lymphatic massage after liposuction. First of all I would do anything that wasn't approved personally by your own surgeon. Having said that, lymphatic massage for hastening convalescence is basically nonsense. Massage it's to vigorous can actually create tissue damage and should be avoided.

Answer: Liposuction garment and lymphatic massage machine. Is that true and can it be used instead of seeing a person? I appreciate your question. Yes, it is true that garments need to be changed/replaced as swelling starts to resolve. I am not familiar with Sweat Lodge so best to discuss with your surgeon and see what he/she recommends. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative plastic surgery. best of luck! Answer: Garments Frequently get Loose a Week After Liposuction It is very true that a liposuction garment will be very tight in the first few days after surgery. Thankfully, swelling usually comes down at about one week and not unusually, a smaller garment can be exchanged as the first becomes too loose. I often recommend to patients that after the first week or two, that they can change over to lighter compression with a spanks or spandex type garment.I am not familiar with the lymphatic massage machine. I do know that well-trained decompressive lymphatic massage therapists can do a very wonderful job decreasing swelling after liposuction. I doubt that a machine can be as precise.
