See if you can post a photo of the blue tooth. Was the orthodontic molarl band removed? Many times orthodontists use a blue colored resin cement to fix the molar band in place. It may just be residual cement that needs to be polished and cleaned off. Return to your orthodontist to see if it could be easily removed for you.
It is possible that your tooth has residual cement from the molar band. A very common band cement used in orthodontics is actually blue. More than likely your tooth is okay, but I would return to the ortho and have the tooth evaluated.
Most likely the bonding or cement holding the band on did discolor from the mouthwash. Was it blue? This would only be a superficial stain that would come off when the band is removed. The the only way to know for sure what is going on is to see your orthodontist.
Your best bet is to have your dentist take a look at what is going on. Pretty hard to tell what is going on without being able to see it. Good luck!
