Should I be wearing a compression garment daily before surgery ? My friend says wearing it prior to surgery will train the waist and make surgery easier. I have 3 months before mommy makeover surgery.
Answer: Faja compression Wearing compression before a Tummy Tuck is not necessary. It will not do anything to help in fixing or healing what the doctor is repairing. After surgery is the most important time to be wearing a compression garment. It is important that you are not wearing anything that is too tight but fits more like a gentle hug instead. Wearing a compression that is too tight can lead to other complications and cause you to feel super uncomfortable in other ways.

Answer: Compression There is no need for you to begin wearing compression before surgery. The purpose of the compression is to help manage post surgical swelling and to support the tissues as they heal. After surgery I recommend patients wear compression garments for about three to four weeks.

Answer: Compression Garments Before your Mommy Make The purpose of the post-procedure #garment is to provide some gentle #support and to reduce swelling following a #TummyTuck or #Abdominoplasty. If it feels too tight or causes pain, take it off. Patients wear the #elastic garment for several weeks after surgery, as directed by their doctor. Some choose to wear it longer for several months for comfort.Your surgeon will provide pre-op instructions to prepare you prior to your surgery date according to your needs. Meantime, if you have questions, it is important to call your plastic surgeon to discuss these further asked to be examined.

Answer: Mommy Makeover /Breast Augmentation/Breast Implants/Anatomic Gummy Bear Implants/Tummy Tuck/Liposuction/BBL I appreciate your question. I would recommend that you discuss this question with your surgeon as every surgeon has their own respective pre op protocol for his/her patients. Your surgeon is your best resource as he/she is most familiar with your medical history and how you will be healing following surgery. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative plastic surgery. Best of luck! Answer: Faja compression garment before surgery? I am not sure there is any truth to this statement. It has been my experience that patients get really tired of wearing their compression garment after the 4-6 weeks that I recommend after surgery. I would be afraid that if you wear one for months before surgery that you will be even more frustrated and tired of the garment.
