I read a question on here about maintenance with Latisse, and most have said 2-3 times per week. I'm hoping that I can get away with 2 to save money, but I'm nervous that my lashes are going to lose their length and thickness. What has been your experience with your patients and their latisse maintenance and the amount of days applied?
Answer: Attempt decreasing Latisse one day a week. Attempt decreasing Latisse one day a week. Your lashes will decrease in length and thickness slowly, when you notice a decrease that is beyond what you like, use Latisse the next night until it at the desired length again. You will soon find what maintenance schedule works for you.

Answer: Maintaining the Results of Latisse We have found that it takes most patients about four months of using Latisse every night to obtain maximum results. Once patients have reached this point, they are normally able to cut back to using Latisse a few times a week. Younger patients who cut back to using the product twice a week seem to be pleased with the ongoing results. If the results aren't enough, they can increase to using the product every other night (or 3-4 times a week). I would suggest seeing how you respond to using Latisse twice a week and if it is not enough to maintain the results you desire, increase the frequency of usage. The Brilliant Distinctions program through Allergan does help cut costs somewhat. If you have treatment or purchase other Allergan products, you can accrue points that way as well.Best of luck!

Answer: I would suggest 3 days a week For the initial treatment with Latisse, we recommend using the product everyday until you see your full lash growth potential. This generally occurs around 4 months into treatment. Many of our patients drop down their dosage for maintenance and to save money after this initial treatment period. While you will certainly see better results for maintenance the more you use the product, I think at least 3 days a week for treatment with Latisse is better than 2 days a week. Additionally, many of our patients find that they can use 1 drop of the product, rather than 2 drops, and cover both eyes. This also helps to stretch out the product.

Answer: Great Plan! I think your idea is a good one. While there is no formal data to support the use of an abbreviated Latisse dosing-schedule, I find that patients can often decrease dosing to 2-3 times a week and still maintain luscious lashes. Every patient is different so my suggestion would be to start tapering to 5 days/week. Then see how infrequently you can apply without losing any lash thickness or number. Maybe that's 3x/week for you, maybe that's once a week. If you notice increased lash loss, bump your regimen back up a bit. Worst case scenario, you can always go back to once daily to recover the improvement you've described.

Answer: Latisse Maintenance Once a patient has grown their lashes to their desired length with Latisse, I do recommend maintenance. My younger patients seem to get away with 2x per week (those about 40 and under), my older patients seem to need 3x per week. The reason is that your lashes (and hair) begin to slow growth as you age, so to keep things progressing, you need to maintain according to the actual growth rate. Try 2x per week and if you notice that they aren't maintaining, kick it up to 3x per week. Also, make sure you join Allergan's Brilliant Distinctions program - it gives you points for purchases on Latisse (and other Allergan products) and can help you save money on maintaining those lashes!
