Hello. Thank you for your question what to do with your thighs and arms. In my opinion, the best results would be achieved with an arm reduction (arm lift or brachioplasty) and a thigh reduction. However, if you cannot “deal” with the arm and thigh lift scars, your results will NOT be as significant. You mentioned that you have had “liposculpture” before and the skin became “worse.” Therefore, you must realize that if you have further “liposculpture”, your skin will probably get worse. Based on your pictures, and diet history, I do not think Renuvion or J-Plasma will provide any significant impact. (Yes, I have both machines.) Renuvion and J-Plasma are for minimal skin contracture. In plastic surgery, there is what is called the “treatment ladder.” That mean a plastic surgeon slowly climb the ladder and will use more aggressive methods to treat more “difficult” areas. Usually, if the J-Plasma or Renuvion does not work, a plastic surgeon will pick a more aggressive modality, like liposuction. If liposuction does not work, then, a plastic surgeon will probably proceed with an incision. You have already had liposuction. Therefore, since liposuction did not work, you should not go back down the ladder and have a LESS invasive treatment like J-Plasma, and expect it to work. Therefore, in the end, you have 3 choices: 1) Renuvion and J-Plasma (which I do not think will work on you), 2) liposuction (which you mentioned did not work on you), and 3) an incision (which you say you do not want). Therefore, in my opinion, do not waste your money on Renuvion or J-Plasma and proceed with liposuction, but do realize that your skin may get worse. I am sorry this may not be the answer you want; however, if you do not want an incision and your skin got worse with liposuction, I would not waste your money on Renuvion or J-plasma with your history. I hope that I have answered your question regarding what to do with your thighs and arms. Among other things, I specialize in arm lifts. I hope that I have answered your questions regarding the arm reduction. If you have any more questions regarding the arm lift, arm reduction, brachioplasty or arm crease fat grafting, please contact my office. Since a brachioplasty or arm lift surgery is a difficult procedure, please seek an experienced, board certified plastic surgeon with significant experience performing these types of arm lifts. Do your research. Make sure your chosen plastic surgeon has performed at least 100 arm lifts. Make sure they have the before and after pictures to prove it. Carefully examine their before and after pictures and check their reviews on RealSelf. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen.
