Left so lost.. YO YO dieted all my life. ended up with saggy skin which I've been carrying too many years. It really depresses me but, I do not want scars as I do not class myself as 'major weight loss surgery'. I have had some liposculpture - made skin worse! I need skin tightening thighs/arms 100%. Can I use these skin-tightening procedures - if so where do I get this? Why isn't it ever promoted? I'm 30 - 'lift' scars are so big - but will that be the better option?

Answer: Skin tightening or thigh & arm lift? Revioun or J-Plasma - does it really work? (Photos) Hello, thank you for your question. It seems like you may benefit from an arm lift and thigh lift, the extended arm lift allows more fat and skin to be removed, and it can produce a much better contour. Because the laxity extends all the way to the elbow, the longer incision is needed. In an extended brachioplasty, I can put the scar anywhere the patient desires (inside of arm, back of arm). It is my belief that the incision in the bicipital groove is the most appropriate in most patients as most people during casual observation do not expose the medial aspect of their arms. The posterior scar is more visible in walking in short sleeve tops. I recommend you to schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.

Answer: Armlift Thank you for your questions and photos. Liposuction is a great way to reduce fat and contour the body however, it can leave excess tissue, especially on the medial thighs and arms. Based on your photos, I would recommend liposuction and a medial thigh lift. The liposuction will sculpt down the thighs and shape them. The medial thigh lift can be done with the incision placed in the groin area. The scar heals well and is hidden in the groin crease. You could consider Body Tite on your arms. This is a technology that uses radiofrequency to shrink wrap the tissues. It does work but will not give a surgical result. In general it tightens the tissues about 30-40%. The arms can be done in the office under local anesthesia. If your goal is a sculpted arm without any loose tissue, you would need liposuction and an arm lift. I recommend scheduling a consultation with a board certified Plastic Surgeon who can assess your specific anatomy and evaluate if Body Tite is a reasonable option for you. In our office, we offer 3D imaging to give our patitents an accurate idea of what their final result will look like. I hope this helps. Good luck!
