I have had some weight loss at age 58 and I’m not sure but I feel that this caused a bit of laxity in my frown line area. The skin feels a bit lax here. I have botoxed the area frequently but as these are static lines they are not budging only preventing deeper lines. As I don’t feel I need a brow lift would micro needling assist with tightening the bunched skin? I can do this procedure in conjunction with Botox to the frown area. I look angry or anxious when that is not how I feel.

Answer: For Static Frown Lines: Consider A Low Viscosity, Cohesive, Malleable HA Filler (Botox For Dynamic Frown Lines) I have been performing microneedling for about twenty-five years. It is best reserved for treating superficial, surface texture and color irregularities, More defined static creases, such as those from the repetitive movement of the frown areas muscles, are unlikely to be appreciably benefited by microneedling. However, for static creases (skin creases at rest) the use of a low viscosity, malleable, cohesive HA filler, especially when Botox is concomitantly used for motion related component, can be quite effective for this issue. You would be wise to consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist injector expert. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Answer: Exploring Microneedling for Frown Line Skin Laxity: A Complementary Approach to Botox Microneedling can be a beneficial treatment for addressing skin laxity and improving the appearance of static lines, such as those in the frown line area. It works by stimulating collagen production, which can enhance skin texture and firmness over time. While microneedling can help with mild skin laxity, the results may vary depending on the severity of the laxity and individual skin response. It is often used in conjunction with other treatments, like Botox, to optimize results. Botox will help relax the muscles and prevent further deepening of lines, while microneedling can improve the skin's surface and elasticity. However, for more significant tightening, other treatments such as laser therapy or radiofrequency might be more effective. It's important to have a thorough consultation with a dermatologist or a qualified aesthetic professional to assess your skin and discuss your goals. They can help determine the best treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. If you have any concerns or questions, feel free to reach out to a dermatologist for personalized advice.
