Should I wash my hair every time before applying Minoxidil?

Is it compulsory to wash my hair before i apply minoxidil in order to clean my scalp surface? Coz i also apply oils. If so do we have to wash hair twice a day before applying minoxidil? Also does taking beer or whisky effects while using minoxidil? Thank you!

if you are using other oils on your scalp it is better to clean your scalp before applying minoxidil. Alcohol has no effect on minoxidil.

Washing your hair regularly is important for hair & scalp hygiene. Applying oils very often is not good for the scalp. If promotes seborrhea. Moderate alcohol imbibing is not harmful even while using minoxidil.

no it is not compulsory to wash  hair before you apply minoxidil in order to clean the  scalp, but it is advisable because minox absorbtion would be better on clean scalp skin.

It is helpful to clean the scalp by shampooing however it is not absolutely necessary. Beer and whiskey have no effect on minoxidil.

If you take a shower with warm water, before you use minoxidil the pores in your scalp will open and allow more minoxidil absorption

It is best to be able to get the minoxidil to be absorbed into the scalp, but not necessary to wash your hair before every time.  Beer or whisky does not affect the minoxidil.  Good luck!
