Taking Drug Propecia During Surgery?

Question

I have been taking the drug propecia for one year now to help control my hair loss. Will being on it during and after cheek implant surgery cause any unwanted effects such as increased swelling, ect.?

There is no need to stop Propecia for plastic surgical procedures. Specifically it  should not affect the outcome following your cheek augmentation surgery.

Agree that there's no reason to stop taking the Propecia from the standpoint of the upcoming Cheek Implant Surgery but you might to ask the plastic and cosmetic surgeon that's performing the cheek augmentation that question just to get his/her opinion.

If Propecia is working to arrest progressive hair loss, I would not recommend stopping it for more than a day with elective surgery. It should not alter the healingt process.
