Why Do Doctors Suggest Fraxel Restore at 4-6 Week Intervals when It Takes Months to See/judge Results from a Session?

lk52
I just had my first Restore last week and plan on more. My doctor, like most doctors, suggests another session in 5 weeks. But I have also read that results take months to appear since the collagen remodeling process can take 4-6 months. So why does everyone suggest more sessions when your skin is still healing/remodeling?? Wouldn't that interrupt the very remodeling process you're trying to encourage? And how would you know if you even need more sessions at that point? I don't understand.
