what is the difference does it interfere with the results and for doctors who dont use drains where does the blood go is it healthy for it not o be drained

Some feel that the drains reduce the number of fluid collections. Some doctors feel that the drains are a nuisance to patients. Some doctors feel that the drains increase the rate of infections. Drains are left to let the liquids out. How ever its rare if there are left in BBL. Y use them in tummy tucks. The fluids left inside normally they reabsorve helped by the girdles and compression by cushions.

Drains are not required for a fat transfer to the buttock procedure if you are wearing a compression garment and foam padding after surgery. The drains are used to prevent fluid collections (seromas) but should not be needed in most cases. I personally do not feel they are needed for this procedure however I do use them for tummy tucks routinely.

We typically only use drains for gluteal implants and not for fat transfers. Drains are used to remove excess fluid from an open space.. Typically there is not an open space with fat transfer buttock augmentation.

I personally do not drain. It's used to prevent fluid collections after the procedure. In 10 years of performing the BBL I have rarely seen a fluid collection so I prefer not to. It's really up to the experience of the surgeon.
