Eyebrow loss-fungal infection possibly?

I have had eyebrow thinning with almost a bald spot on one eyebrow. I've noticed this for the last 8 months. 7-8bweeks ago I went to doctor and she said its fungal infection and gave me antifungal cream which I took for 6 weeks as instructed. No eyebrow has grown back in those 6 weeks. I'm not even sure if it is all due to fungal? My question is who should I go to? When will eyebrow grow back? Is there systemic reason why? Is there just dermatologist for this or is there another specialist?

There are quite a few reasons why someone
would lose eyebrow hair and having a skin infection is just one of them.   Without having a diagnosis, it is difficult
to give you a solution.  And, in order to
give you a diagnosis we would need a bit more history and an exam.   I recommend you see a hair restoration
physician to discuss your eyebrow loss.

If you are worried see a dermatologist of physician specializing in the area of hair loss. I can't answer any of your very good questions without knowing absolutely everything about your story and health and seeing your eyebrows up close myself. There are dozens of reasons for eyebrow loss.

With a diagnosis and proper treatment, the fungal infection may be under control which your doctor will tell you. Eyebrow hair often does not return quickly, sometimes not at all. Stick with your doctor and ask if he thinks a second opinion is needed
