Diode, alexandrite and yag lasers work best. It will take a series of treatments to get improvement. Please know that it will take a series of treatments to get improvement. I typically have patients do laser hair removal every 4 weeks for the first 3 sessions and then every 4 to 6 weeks for the following 3 sessions. This schedule gives great results with hair removal. Hello, I would need to see your skin in person to accurately answer this but generally I would use an NDyag laser on Asian skin.  Laser hair removal treatments do not lighten your skin.  You can address pigmentation with other lasers or you can use a cream with hydroquinone.   I would also recommend treating your PCOS before starting treatments as hormones can cause continued hair growth.  As far as treatment costs this varies greatly by area.  A lot of places offer consultations free of charge and can discuss treatment options best for you as well as cost.
