New front crowns not same as original teeth.

Sometimes new crowns need a "little bit" of "fine tuning" to get the bite to feel normal and comfortable.  Often no more than 5 minutes.  If the desired shape is an EXACT duplication of the original tooth, it must be communicated to the dentist before sending impressions to the lab.  Most labs should be able to get this done.

When doing an anterior case I always have a discussion of wants.  That way we are on the same page.  Sometimes it may just be a "copy" of shape, size and color.  Other times it is for cosmetic reasons for the changes.  All these changes are reviewed up front to make sure I can provide what is wanted. 
As far as the bite is concerned.....It is usually a simple fix of adjusting the crowns to match your bite.  When we are placing crowns sometimes a return visit is needed to verify the bite.  With everything new  sometimes it is hard to tell.
The location of the lab does not matter.  I am located in the North Atlanta area.  I use some labs in town, out of town and other states.  I have different labs do different things depending on their strengths.  The location is unimportant, the quality is what is important.

Hi:First of all if your bite is off, please go back to your dentist to have him/her adjust your bite.  Secondly, if your dentist sends the mold of your original teeth to the lab, most good labs can duplicate the shape in the crowns that they make.Best,Dr. Maddahi
