I had 20year old crowns on my two front teeth and one shattered requiring replacement. I went to a new dentist today as I've just moved into the area and had a temp crown fitted. She spent a while colour matching it so I assumed it would be a fairly close match. I wasn't expecting perfection as I'm well aware it's only temporary, however this doesn't resemble any other tooth whatsoever! Should it?

I would call your dentist to see if he/she would like to see you for the repair of the temporary before the crown seat appointment. Keep the area clean and avoid eating on that side.
