Should a temporary crown look this bad? I feel like a gold tooth would have been less obvious! (Photos)

Question

I had 20year old crowns on my two front teeth and one shattered requiring replacement. I went to a new dentist today as I've just moved into the area and had a temp crown fitted. She spent a while colour matching it so I assumed it would be a fairly close match. I wasn't expecting perfection as I'm well aware it's only temporary, however this doesn't resemble any other tooth whatsoever! Should it?

Temporaries are meant to be temporaries, which goes thru a transitional stage till you obtain the final results. The good dentist used a bright color, which obviously do not match the color of your adjacent teeth. It is an easy fix, ask your dentist to use a more natural translucent color and redo it. Looking at the color of your teeth, and doing only one crown! you definitely will need custom coloring by the ceramist making your porcelain crown, otherwise chances are you will be disappointed. Discuss this with your good dentist.

Please call your dentist and ask them to reface your temp to a better shade, or have your dentist call the lab to rush your permanent crown fabrication.
