Would HA dermal filler on jawline, chin and cheek bone give me a more defined look?

I agree with my colleague with derma fillers.

At least from the photos provided, I would have to agree that buccal fat removal would not achieve the desired results. On the other hand, robust HA fillers are routinely used by experienced injectors these days to masculinize the cheeks, strengthen and better define a male jawline and to augment the chin in order achieve appropriate contour and projection. When vetting physicians, you would be wise to ask to see his/her personal before and after photos of the aforementioned areas before agreeing to proceed. Best of luck.

Fillers are a great way to achieve more balance and definition to the face. You can start slowly with fillers and build up to the look you are wanting. The great thing about HA fillers is that if you are unhappy you can dissolve the product.

I fully agree with your plastic surgeon. Buccal fat removal is permanent. You might find that it makes you look gaunt and that will be worse when you age. As you age you will naturally have less volume so fat removal will accentuate that. Fillers can give you a straight sharp jawline and can accentuate your cheeks by adding to the cheeks instead of removing from below. They are not permanent and you can change up what you do as you change.

Those are great questions to be asking. Beginning with my own assessment, I would start with jaw line filler and see if that gets the result that you want. Your chin is covered with facial hair, so that is difficult to assess. If you’re pleased with the provider’s results, then move onto the cheek filler. These things can be reversed and dissolved. Later in life when you want to look younger, you will be glad to have the extra fat. On a side note, surgeons are surgeons because they love to operate. So if a surgeon says you don’t need an operation, I wouldn’t continue looking for one that will do it. You will one if you look around enough.
