Final results can take 6-12 months for all the swelling to subside. At our office we actually see all of our surgery patients the very next day after surgery and then again at two weeks and beyond. If you lose weight after a BBL then your buttocks will decrease in size. The buttocks shrinks after a BBL for up to 6 months but more rapidly early after surgery in the first 6 weeks or so. If you gained weight for the procedure and now want to lose that excess weight, just know all the fat that was created from the weight gain and injected into your buttocks will shrink. This is why I do not recommend weight gain unless you can maintain that weight long term.
