Dear Dee Dee,Hello and thank you for your excellent question. Based on your description, I would not recommend cool sculpting. Rather, you may want to look into regular liposuction to this area. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable. Be sure to have all of your questions answered during a face-to-face meeting with your surgeon, and review before and after pictures of similar patients whom have had this procedure. If you have any questions, call our office for assistance. Good luck! Hi, CoolSculpting is usually a safe procedure, however there is a concern about increased risk of complications in patients with autoimmune diseases, more specific cold agglutinins. The cold treatment from cool sculpting may correlate to a high risk of hyperplasia or even necrosis. I would not recommend taking the risk is you have an autoimmune disorder - as Sjogrens can be associated with a small increased presence of cold agglutinins.
