6 months post-op: are my breasts too far apart/asymmetrical? (photos)

Question

I had a breast augmentation (now 6 months post op) Healing has gone smoothly, no complications. Now that my breasts have dropped and fluffed I feel like they are far apart and like one has dropped lower than the other. I included pics of myself pre-augmentation to show the shape and distance they were before. (I had very deflated mom breasts). My breasts now are a huge improvement however I am wondering if there is anything I can do about what I’ve mentioned? I have my last appt next week.

Thanks for your question! If you look at your pre-op photos, one breast has always been a little droopier than the other. I think that is what you are noticing. It also looks like the implants are rather large for your frame. Perhaps some internal work - like a capsulorrhaphy - could improve the appearance a bit. Good luck!

Good morning,
Your right side does have a little bottoming out, and I suspect that when you lay down they both slide off to the sides a little, creating a wider gap. This just means that your pockets have healed a little too big for your implants- I correct this using the Original Internal Bra, my strong permanent internal suturing technique. I first developed this technique over 20 years ago, and today it is the most common revision I perform, at least 5-6 times a week- it works and it lasts!

Breast implants will settle naturally behind the nipple.  It appears from your photos that your folds were a bit asymmetrical prior to surgery, which is common.  If you are overall happy with the result you may want to leave it alone.  If the nipples pointing more outward is a concern you can consider downsizing the implants and tightening the pocket to influence the final look a bit.

Your breasts naturally sit a little wide apart, and that cannot be changed. You did choose large and heavy implants, but your results are fine.  Because of the weight, they may drop more with time.  Do wear a good supporting bra while you are vertical.  Next surgery, go with smaller implants.
