Can smile line filler improve this dark pigmentation? (Photo)

Okay so I’m fine with the idea of smile lines, but it’s the dark pigmentation that’s really been my main concern. It’s also dry and itchy. What could be the cause of this and is there a way to make them lighter?

The dark pigmentation that you are seeing may not even be discoloration of the skin. It is possible that the darkness is simply a shadow cast by the smile lines, which filler will certainly improve. If it is a pigmentation issue, then a treatment such as Fraxel laser may help as it is designed to improve pigmentation and sun damage on superficial layers of the skin.

Hi there,
Thank you for your question.  The filler will not help with your hyperpigmentation.
Irritation can cause PIH.  Schedule an appointment with a Dermatologist.  They can prescribe something for both.
