1 week post BBL with 275 round polytech gluteal implants 28 yo female and the implants are showing, do I remove them? (Photos)

Please forgive me, but the angle of the photos allow limited assessment.Having said that,I do not generally recommend patients to worry reoperations at 1 week after surgery. This is nearly always premature.The muscle holds the implant in a higher position thatyou will have in the end, and it takes some weeks to "fall into place".You say that your surgeon has used Polytech implants. I do not use these because they are slightly textured and therefore "falling into place"may take a bit longer. Bear this in mind. Otherwise it is a good implant it has just got this inconvenience.Best wait 10-12- weeks before taking major conclusions.

Allow me to answer your question as best i can based upon your photos. However, please keep in mind that an in-person consultation with physical exam is first necessary before any legitimate evaluation or final surgical recommendations can be made. That being said, you appear to be a classic case whereby a round implant was used instead of an oval shape. In 2015 I created and later patented a new "Stanton Anatomic" shaped implant that avoids the unnatural effects of round implants, whether silicone gel or rubber . The benefit of this is the fact that ~90% of patients have more of an oval shaped buttock cheek not round, thus a true oval, not “tear-drop”, implant (i.e. Stanton Anatomic implant) creates a much more natural and harmonious buttock contour.  This is especially true when the patients bends over, does squats, or pokes their butt out while striking a pose or dancing. Many avid weightlifters, fitness competitors, and athletes from various sports have had these implants without problem of movement, visibility, or drooping.  Glad to be of help.
