I had a BBL in 2011 and it looked amazing I thought. Everyone just thought I worked out a lot (which i did). Now with BBLs being so common, people constantly ask me if i have one its embarrasing. My butt is hard. It never dopped or softened up. I'm 50 years old with a hard butt. Is this normal for old BBLs??? Is ther anything I can do???

It's not typical for the buttock to remain hard for such an extended period following a BBL. The hardness you're describing could be due to scar tissue that has developed around the injected fat. Alternatively, it's possible that a non-FDA-approved substance was used for the augmentation, which could lead to long-term complications like you're describing.

Given the duration and the nature of your symptoms, I strongly recommend consulting with a board-certified plastic surgeon who has experience in the removal of foreign bodies and dealing with complications from cosmetic procedures. An MRI may be necessary to accurately diagnose the cause of the hardness and to determine the best course of action for potential removal or correction.

To get an accurate assessment you need an examination.
Firmness after fat transfer is most likely due to fat necrosis and scar tissue.
Developing excessive or clinically noticeable fat in the crosses is at direct reflection of how the procedure was performed.
Surgeons attempt to avoid these type of outcomes by grafting fat in a more stratified manner as opposed to grafting a lot of fat in small areas.
To begin to assessment, we generally need to see a complete set up before and after pictures and what you currently look like.
It’s always a good idea to maintain before and after pictures and if you don’t have them, it may be worthwhile to contact your provider and ask them to send copies if they still have them.
 Unless someone has an isolated single firm nodule, there isn’t all that much that can be done noticeable fatten the crosses.
For single, isolated lesions the treatment would be direct surgical excision.
