The timing of visible results will be as variable as the results themselves. Some will see thickening of existing hair while others will see a slowing or cessation of loss. Finally, some will achieve regrowth. This may take several sessions before becoming evident.I typically recommend patients commit to 3 sessions. These will be separated by 4-6 weeks. After which they will repeat sessions at 6-12 month intervals as needed.2 weeks is very early to render judgement. As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS) with experience in hair restoration.
2 weeks is a little early. You may see some decrease in hair shedding after a month of so but it will take closer to 4-6 months to see improvement in hair density and thickness. So, give it a couple of more cycles before evaluating.Consider adding minoxidil to your regimen. In good health,Ellen Mahony, MD
In my opinion, a decrease in hair shedding is usually noted in the first month or two after PRP. Following this, one notes that the hair is growing faster. Within three to six months, the hair should start to thicken. If there will be regrowth, it occurs somewhere between 4 and 10 months. Therefore, at 2 weeks if you notice a slight decrease in hair loss you are getting a positive response. If you don't notice much, be patient and keep an eye on the drain towel and shower. Find a PRP expert.PRPHAIRMD.COM
PRP for hair is a slow process and two or three treatments are recommended. Typically results with baby hair can be seen in around 3 months. It is always recommended that romaine be used used to enhance the growth, it is not a must.
Hi,thanks for the question. You can see a difference in hair fall after second session onward. You need a couple of sessions to see a difference in the density of hair around 4-6 months.Along with the PRP do start with oral multivitamins supplements and topical minoxidil.
Thank you for the post and question. PRP is helpful for many patients. Within the first several weeks (3 to 6), you should notice a difference in the amount of hair shedding. Within several months, you should see a difference in density as well. This typically takes around 4 moths to grow but visible change in density can take 6 to 9 months to notice. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your question. You have been dealing with male pattern hair loss for the past 10 years, and ask if it is possible for minoxidil or PRP to bring dead follicles back to life. I can help you understand what the challenges are with your situation as it’s a question that gets asked e...

PRP results will vary across individuals. Hair growth may occur, but perhaps not to desirable extents. Hair transplantation (when performed by the right surgeon) offers a much more reliable approach to restoring hair growth. Black patients require a more specialized approach due to the curvature...
