I have a mole on my vulva that appeared when I was 18, and was about 4mm. It grew rapidly in the year after it first appeared, and 8 years later it is still continuing to grow. Other than growing, it seems normal in appearance. A dermatologist told me 'malignant moles grow, but so do benign moles, and yours appears to be benign'. It is now 14mm in diameter, and I am worried that it is going to continue to grow and become malignant, and I'll end up with a vulvectomy. Should I have it removed?
