More definition post chin sliding genioplasty - is chin/jaw filler safe a year on? (Photo)

Question

I had a 10mm chin advancement via the sliding genioplasty method in Sept 22. My chin bone has been moved and held with titanium plates and screws. I love the result as I HATED my side profile before. However I don't feel my chin/jaw journey is finished. I would like more chin advancement and jaw definition. Is dermal filler safe a year plus after sliding genioplasty? See pics for before and after surgery.

Hi! Your result is gorgeous! Dermal filler is safe to do but I would absolutely make sure that the injector knows that there is hardware in there because if the hardware gets infected, then it may all have to be removed and you may be in a bigger problem than you were hoping for. It is going to be even more critical for you to avoid infection risk during the injection process so make sure that is made clear between you and your injector.
