I have veins under my eyes and I'm looking for a permanent solution because I know that lasers and sclerotherapy have the risk of reoccurrence. I want to treat the cause of my vein problems and not just my veins so that they can't return. What under eye vein treatment would be permanent and have no risk of reoccurrence? If surgery isn't an option is medicine an option?

Answer: There are no permanent treatments for under eye veins
Thank you for your question.Typically, sclerotherapy is used to treat the feeding veins and reticular veins and varicose veins. Once these have been injected or treated, you should wait 6 weeks before cosmetic laser work is done for the smallest of the spider veins (telngiectasias < 1 mm)...
Venous lakes on the lip can be successfully treated with Nd:Yag lasers. Several treatments may be necessary. Seek someone who has experience treating venous lakes.Dr Karamanoukian
Thank you for your question.Missing one day of not wearing stockings is not likely to adversely affect outcome after varicose, reticular and spider vein treatment with sclerotherapy.Bestdr. Karamanoukian
