Hello - I had a Morpheus treatment and as a result, was left with PIH from an inflammatory reaction I had. How can I get rid of each of these brown spots? They are covering my face.

In our office, we use Melarase PM Arbutin to help ease the risk of PIH with any invasive RF or laser treatments. I would suggest using the Melarase once daily before and after the procedure. If you have developed PIH, use it twice daily.

Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) can be one of the side effects, especially in high-risk patients that can occur after undergoing Morpheus8 skin resurfacing treatments. PIH appears as dark spots on the skin, and it can be treated using a combination of topical skincare products and in-office procedures. Topical treatments may include hydroquinone, retinoids, and vitamin C serums, Cystamine cream, Lytera, ALASTIN, which work to lighten and brighten the skin. In-office procedures such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and 1927/1940 laser treatments can also help to address PIH. However, it is important to note that each patient's needs are unique, and an experienced physician/Dermatologist can determine the most appropriate treatment plan based on individual factors such as skin type, the severity of PIH, and medical history. Regular use of physical block sunscreen is most  important to prevent further PIH and protect the skin from harmful UV radiation.
