I’m 37 years old and am looking at under eye blepharoplasty. I noticed that when I lift the skin under my eye, it also lifts my cheek a little which helps with my mild smile lines? I know you can’t see them very well in this picture but curious if it will slightly lift my face as well.
Answer: Will lower blepharoplasty help lift face? A lower blepharoplasty procedure will help with rejuvenation under the eye but it will not help to lift the face. A more extensive procedure would be needed to lift the face.

Answer: Lower blepharoplasty Thank you for posting your question herelet me start by stating that my answer is based on the limited information and pictures provided, for a more detailed and bespoke plan please consult with a plastic surgeon in person. When it comes to lower blepharoplasty it is a great procedure to address under eye fat compartments if they are showing , taking down the tear trough ligament and excise excess skin but it should not provide you with any lift , you don't want to excise too much skin or put wight on the surgical sight as it can lead to complications in the future (ectropion etc..) ( which would be needed to turn a blepharoplasty into a lift procedure). If you feel that your midface is heavy or that you need a minor lift in that area you can consider a midface lift which can be combined with a lower blepharoplasty. I would recommend that you discuss those issues with your surgeon so that they can come up with a plan that works for you. I hope this helps, Best of luck!

Answer: Mid facelift A lower blepharoplasty will never lift your face. The face skin is too heavy and the skin of the lower eyelid is too thin. If you want some fullness or lifting up the mid face then a mid facelift can be performed using an incision in front of the ears. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Lower blepharoplasty Short answer to your question is no. You need a mid-face lift to lift you cheeks which can be performed by an incision inside the hair with a camera (endoscopic) or with an incision right under the eyelashes (hardly visible scar). In my opinion you do not need a lower blepharoplasty but rather a skin resurfacing treatment with laser, mesotherapy, microneedling, nanofatgrafting for skin texture correction and mid-face lift.
