They didn't fully remove the mole I'm pretty sure they just took the root of it out. But it's starting to turn yellow, I apply ointment to it I just don't know if my skin is irritated from being on my hair line or if it really is infected or possibly growing back??

Its impossible to say from a picture if they are benign or malignant. I would recommend you see a dermatologist or plastic surgeon and have them examined using a dermatoscope. If you feel that they have changed in any way and if there are suspicious features on dermatoscopy then...
