After 2 months, my scar is raised in several spots and still very tender. I had a skin reaction to the stitches, but it is still uncomfortable even after the scabbing has gone away.

After surgery, scars continue to heal and change in a process called "remodeling" for at least a full year. That being said, your scar does seem to be quite raised. It looks like it is turning into what's called a hypertrophic scar or an early keloid. I would recommend a visit with the physician that performed the surgery to possibly inject it with kenalog (a steroid) to flatten it down at this point. Some physicians will offer a laser treatment for the scar as well, it's at least worth the mention when you see them. Good luck!
