Any mole removed can return. It is hard to know if it is serious without knowing more details so I would go in for a follow up. 

See your derm surgeon for evaluation but just from the photos I would guess that it is a benign cherry angioma which is easily zapped and gotten rid of.

Any kind of mole changes can indicate possible malignancy. You are definitely doing the right thing by getting your biopsy.
