Will liposuction work to get rid of my buffalo hump?

Question

I have a pretty big buffalo hump and it's caused by some medicine that I'm on. It is actually effecting my life and self esteem and mental state on how I live my life I really want/need it to be gone! Now here's what I'm wondering.... Will liposuction get rid of it? If I stop taking the medicine will it go away on its own or will I need liposuction along with stopping the medicine? What is the cost of the liposuction? Will my insurance pay for it because of the sever effects it's having on me?

Fatty deposits in the posterior cervical region called a Buffalo hump can be congenital or the product of medication particularly protease inhibitors. They are easily treated with liposuction often times with local anesthesia only. Expect to pay $1000-$1500.

First you should assess  the curve of cervical spine with xray to decide the fat element... liposuction and followed by excision through small incision  if required  can give you good correction.. Correction of buffalo hump at Mumbai  India will cost you approximatly USD 1200 to 1500.. please discuss with your insurance company for payment... usually it is not covered

A buffalo hump is not usually made of the same fat as standard subcutaneous fat.  Many times it requires direct excision.
