Could I Have Made Damaged my Breast Implants by Falling?

Question

I had implants under the muscle 2 and a half weeks ago. I slipped and put my hand out to stop myself from falling and felt as if i had torn something in my breast. It was sore for a while and felt burning but the pain went away. Could I have damaged the healing process and ripped the implant from it's position or made the pocket bigger? I feel as though the implant can move more although do not want to try moving it more than I have to.

Could I Have Made Damaged my Breast Implants by Falling? Yes you could. However, knowing the implant type is important. Salines will likely deflate with damage whereas silcone implants will not and will require MRI evaluation.

Well, it really is hard to give you an answer without pictures or examining you. It is quite possible that some damage was caused. My suggestion would be to go back and see your plastic surgeon and discuss the situation with him or her.

It is difficult to say without a formal exam. But implants are pretty durable. On the other hand, if you fell down and pulled something it could injure soft tissue inside that is healing. You should follow-up closely with your doctor.
