Discuss with your surgeon the type of anesthesia you will be having.  In out practice, most of the facelifts are performed under twilight sleep, thereby avoiding the breathing tube that can irritate the vocal cords. I would recommend avoiding any singing practice for about 2 weeks, and then start gradually resuming your voice training. 

Thanks for your question. I agree with the previous surgeons that waiting two weeks is an appropriate amount of time. In addition, having a twilight anesthesia without an endotracheal tube will help speed along the recovery. Hope that helps-
