I agree with Dr. Pousti. You'll have to get clearance from the doctor who manages your Raynaud's as well as any recs for pre or post op management. If you are looking at breast augmentation surgery, which is typically shorter in length and doesn't have to disturb the nipple (as opposed to a lift or reduction surgery), you should do well with a 24 hour recovery breast augmentation. Good luck!
There will be no problem with breast augmentation in your case. Raynaud's phenomenon is from severe constriction of blood vessels. It can effect nipples when exposed to cold and cause breast feeding painful. Implants will not effect your symptoms positively or negatively. Raynaud's phenomenon will persist just as it does now. But you will have breast size of your liking.
You will most likely be able to proceed. I would suggest that you run this question by the physicians ( for example rheumatologist) who's knows you best. Then, once okayed, seek consultation with board-certified plastic surgeons who can demonstrate significant experience achieving the types of outcomes you will be pleased with. Best wishes.
In my experience, Raynaud's is due to methyl ethyl ketone (and similar chemicals) depleting arginine and thereby depleting nitric oxide. The shell of the implant leaks methyl ethyl ketone, so it is likely to cause the same problem unless you can detox the chemical (with electrolysis foot and hand baths) and replace the arginine (I prefer XExtreme NO to do this). I have many patients who have recovered from Raynaud's with this treatment.
Thank you for your question. It is not uncommon to have aches and pains after surgery. The total recovery time from a breast augmentation is several months, so you still have a lot of healing ahead of you. The pain is likely nerve irritation but always best to see your surgeon if the pain...
Thank you for your question. You do not want to expose your scars to UV for at least a year, they will darken if exposed to sun or tanning beds. You need to use a high SPF sunblock over the scars to protect them from darkening. I would also recommend covering them with a towel...
Each Plastic Surgeon has their own view point on this and I would suggest you speak with your plastic surgeon. The reason that it is suggested that you stop or have minimal alcohol leading up to your surgery is that if can effect the metabolism (how fast the drugs last) of the anesthesia and...
