I got 50 units of Botox injected in each palm sweating 5 days ago. I am not sure if i am seeing the results yet. Doc said it takes 7 days to see effect and 2 weeks to see full results. Is this norm? from day 1 i feel its working but when sweat breaks out it gets dripping and uncontrollable. I barely used my palms or exposed to heat for 1st three days except for daily hot shower. today I went out in hot weather and sweat started dripping profusely. Can anything external pressure heat ruin botox?

It takes 3-5 days to see the effect, 14 days to get the full effect of botox.  Whether or not you will get a 100% resolution of your swelling is impossible to predict.  Most people don't get 100% improvement but enough to make the treatment worth it.  For some patients the improvement is very minimal.

Thank you for your question!  It typically take up to 7-10 days to take full effect for BoTox.  The amount injected into your palms is a reasonable dose, however, the amount is individualized for each patient.  It may be that you simply need more in each palm - up to 100/palm is also reasonable.  Await the entire period for effects and discuss with your injector if your results are not satisfactory.  Results can never be guaranteed and I am unsure if your palmar hyperhidrosis will ever completely resolve despite these treatments.  Consideration for other oral medications may help, especially if the reason is for anxiety or phobias, etc.  Hope that this helps!  Best wishes!

Botox can take 7 to10 days for effectiveness to reach its maximum potential. The use of 50 units per palm is a safe recommended dosage for this treatment. However, effectiveness is individualized and the each palm may require up to 100 units for cessation of palmar hyperhidrosis.

You should see the effects of Botox starting within a week and full result in two weeks. I am not aware that any external heat would deactivate Botox and ruin the effect.
