I have an Indentation right after my Smart Lipo procedure, will this smooth out ? (Photo)

It can take 3-6 months for final results with Smart lipo. I suggest lymphatic massage, hyperbaric oxygen, and RF treatments like venus legacy to help reduce any swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. Swelling and lumpiness are normal in the early healing phase from lipo. Anything which puts pressure in a specific area will press fluid out of that area and leave a Temporary dent. Massage helps to get the fluid out faster from all of the areas and is highly recommended.

Thank you for the photo. At this point in the healing process it is too soon to tell if this will need to have a touch up or if it will smooth itself out, it is too early to judge the results. The appearance of the indentation will get better over time as you heal.

It will likely smooth out, you are very early in the healing process and swollen.   Early intervention lymphatic massages will help to decrease fluid thus decrease the chances of scar tissue formation and uniform tissue healing.  If overzealous lipo was performed in that area you could potentially have some contour irregularities there as well.

I tell my patients that recovery and final results after any type of liposuction procedure will take a minimum of 6 months, and that most patients report improvements even up to a year later. it is not uncommon to have some areas of unevenness after Smartlipo. Remember that it is a 6 month process. Lymphatic massage or even just your massaging the area itself for a few minutes daily should help it resolve. Try and be patient and not drive yourself crazy by looking at it every day to see if it has improved.
