How will I feel immediately after Smart lipo?

After Lipo 
: most people feel tired (didn't sleep the night before, side effect of medications), experience dry mouth (dehydrated post lipo),  +/- nausea (side effect of many meds) BUT relieved that it was "relatively easy" and excited to effect change in their lifestyle. Hope this finds you well.

In most states, it would be considered extremely unprofessional or illegal to discharge a sedated patient home without a responsible adult companion. Like a drunk, you would be at risk of injuring your self or others. It's not an option. 

Thank you for your question. Generally day of surgery they sleep a lot. Should be able to walk that day evening or next day within the house. Make sure somebody around so that they can help if needed. Follow instructions from your PS. Good Luck with your surgery

I do almost all of my Smartlipo in the office with an oral sedation. This means they need a driver and cannot drive or walk themselves home. You cannot drive until the following day. You will be a bit sore the next day, but almost all of my patients return to their jobs the next day. Of course, some will do the procedure on a Friday or will take a day off but the vast majority return to work. They will be somewhat sore (varies from person to person) but being busy takes their minds off the Smartlipo. i allow them to return to full exercising after 5 days.david berman md
