Thanks for your question and posting pictures. Tretinoin, retinols and Retin-A can be irritating to your skin. We tell our patients to reduce how often they apply it nightly. If you take a break for a couple of days, your face should clear up. When you restart, apply every other night for a week. If that goes well, slowly increase the number of nights that you apply it. I think using retin a is essential to be part of your scar treatment. It is not effective alone and helps remodel and improve scars. I would also consider using microneedling, filler, PRP, TCA Cross, Infini, and possibly laser resurfacing.
